IFAT Africa was held in July this year, at the Gallagher Convention Centre, located in Johannesburg, South Africa. The trade fair serves as a platform for professionals, businesses, and organisations to showcase and explore innovations and advancements in the fields of water, sewage, wastewater and recycling management.
Alongside other water and wastewater companies, WEC Water exhibited at IFAT Africa to showcase our various water, sewage and recycling solutions for sub-Saharan Africa.

The importance of IFAT Africa
By facilitating networking, knowledge exchange, and the showcasing of eco-friendly solutions, IFAT Africa plays a vital role in advancing Africa’s environmental agenda and fostering a greener, more sustainable future for the continent.
What opportunities did WEC achieve at IFAT Africa?

IFAT Africa was a tremendous networking event for both clients and suppliers. One significant outcome was the exposure we gained.
“We successfully generated a substantial number of leads at IFAT Africa. What’s more, the conference sparked numerous ideas from both new and existing suppliers, which we consider a valuable bonus.” says Arrigo Torgom Fadda, Proposals Engineer at WEC Projects.
“Without a doubt, the WEC brand received substantial exposure at the event. Look out for the next IFAT Africa, where will ensure to exhibit some of our more advanced sewage package plant models, which I am sure will spark valuable interest!”
Considering future exhibitions
Given our positive experience, we are enthusiastic about exhibiting at IFAT Africa again. Our plan moving forward includes building the WEC Water brand and aiming for even more solid leads.
We received extremely positive feedback regarding our exhibition. Our stand attracted significant attention and attendees had a great time.
In conclusion, IFAT Africa 2023 was a memorable and positive experience for WEC Water, offering promising opportunities for growth. As we reflect on our participation, we look forward to maximizing our impact at future events.
